No one else is saying this, so I thought I would make the argument. I am really, really glad that Microsoft OneDrive does not use placeholder files in Windows 10. I just want the selective sync option like I had in Windows 7. Some people got really attached to the placeholders, but I hated them. They really messed up backup software, such as CrashPlan. Besides, I have an entire folder in OneDrive called “Archive.” It’s an archive ; I don’t want that folder ever touching my desktop PC. That folder needs to stay in the cloud and never be touched unless disaster strikes.
Come think out loud with me. My thoughts on technology, religion, politics and whatever else I'm thinking about.
